Who We Are
Equity thru Education Collaborative (EtEC) is a diverse group of educators, students, and advocates working together to address issues of injustice and inequity. We root our work in the belief public education must play a vital role in the transformation of our society if it is to become more caring, inclusive and just.
What We Do
We strive to provide pre-service and classroom teachers the resources necessary to teach for positive change in their classrooms, schools, and broader communities. This includes: (1) children’s literature that offers opportunities to explore identity, diversity, justice, and action, (2) professional texts that support teacher growth, and (3) resources and ideas that can be used in the classroom.
